One whole year!!!

It has been 1 year since I have last posted. WOW!!! I don’t know how I quite feel about it anymore. Either I am just lazy or too busy. Big changes have happened in our house this past year.

-I got a new job working from home, which some days I love and others I hate. If I don't get work done while Blake is sleeping, my house gets destroyed. It is nice to be able to stay at home with Blake all the time.

-This year my parents took me, my siblings, and our spouses (no kids) on a Mexican Riviera Cruise! Awesome!! We loved it. It was so relaxing to not have to worry about taking care of Blake, but I sure did miss him. Thanks to my wonderful sister-in-law and mother-in-law for taking such great care of him!!! It was so hard to come home after a week of being waited on and have to do everything myself.

-We both recently got new callings in our ward. Eric is now the Sunday School President and I am now the Young Women's Second Councilor. YWs is super busy and I am always doing something for it, but I love the girls and have so much fun with this calling.

-Our biggest news…Another Schoenfeld will make presence in February 2012. It is a girl and we could not be more excited. Blake always gives his sister kisses and says he loves her, but he also tells me daily he is going to beat her up. I had my surgery (cerclage) in August and it seems to be keeping this baby in with no problem. I don't know how I would handle being on bedrest with a 3-year-old around. We are so thankful and feel so blessed that this pregnancy has been so easy. Well, I was pretty sick for a while, but I am over that now and feel great!

Goodbye Summer

What a great summer we have had, I'm kind of excited to start Fall (if it ever comes.)
We have enjoyed going camping and love the new spot Eric found for us. We went fourwheeling and the colors were so beautiful, B of course loved the ride, and being able to run around and get dirty. These pictures are from two different camping trips.

Blake's new "Big Boy Bed"

Grandma bought a fun blowup slide, Blake loved it. Eric and I were the only adults to actually get in and play...does that make us kids at heart, or just immature?

Blake has been going on the potty for about a week now, he is doing awesome and only having a couple accidents a day. He knows to hold it, and has gone 2 nights staying dry. Blake's new bed is a lot harder then the crib. He used to just go to sleep when we put him in it, now he gets out. Last night about 4 am I heard a door slam and then right in my face Blake said "I want milk". It kinda scared me, I'm used to him crying to get my attention. We have officially started the throwing fit stage, over anything. Eric just got back from Seattle, he was working on the temple up there. He was greatly missed, Blake asked for him several times everyday. When we went to pick him up Blake started running to him yelling "daddy, daddy" he was so happy his dad was home.

St. George

Last weekend we went to St. George with my parents, sister and her kids. We went and saw Tarzan at Tuachan, which was amazing. My Grandma got to come to the play with us, and we visited with Grandpa. It was super hot, we ate lots of good food, went to the outlets, and swam a lot. There was a kiddie pool where we stayed that was only 2 feet deep, and Blake loved it. He could swim without us holding on to him, he dunks his head under and tries floating on his tummy...he has got no fear. Eric watched the two boys while we went to Tarzan, and caught up on some much needed sleep. Blake slept 3 hrs both to and from, making the drive quite nice. Next trip Seattle...then to Mexico...I am so excited!!!

Toy Story 3

I was so excited to see Toy Story 3! I love those movies, and I knew Blake wouldn't sit in a crowded theatre. I took him to see Shrek 4 a couple months ago, and he just ran up and down the stairs. So I figured the Drive-In would be perfect, plus we had to break Eric's new Truck in! It was so much fun...Blake did pretty good. After Toy Story the boys slept, while I watched Prince of Persia, which I really liked. It was a fun night to spend with the boys!

We have been doing a lot this spring, and time has just flown by. About a month ago we went on our first camping trip of the year. It was just to Antelope Island for a night, but it was fun to get out.

I know it is a little late, but we have been busy at our house. We started by having lunch and an Egg hunt at Grandma N's house. Blake wasn't that interested in the egg hunt, and left the duty of finding eggs with his name on it up to Mom and Dad. (Same at Grandma S.) In all it was a great day!

Blake loves to get into my make-up. Not only at my house, but my sister has caught him several times at hers. It has been on him, the dog, the bathroom rug, in the vent cover and wall. Mascara is pretty hard to get off, he probably does it cause he loves baths so much! He is super fast, he can get into anything in the blink of an eye.

The day after Blake's birthday he had to get his tonsils out. He has had strep 5 times in 8 months! We were ready to have them out, but not ready for the crying. He has cried more in the last 2 weeks then his entire life. Poor little guy was probably in so much pain, and I was upset that I couldn't make it better. Now he is doing much better, eating and sleeping. Although his canines have decided to come in now! He slept the first day, ran around in circles the second day, and then the crying started. We bought him a mug (like Grandma's that he always wanted) so we could get him to drink. When he wasn't feeling well, he just wanted to call Daddy on the phone, and he would just jabber away with him.

Blake had such a great birthday! We started the day off with birthday pancakes, went to church and then had the party. We had Grandmas and Grandpas over for dinner, cake and ice cream. He loved all the attention, and all the presents. What a great day! I can't believe I have a two-year-old! Time has gone by so fast! Love you Blake!!

Lots has been happening lately. I started working again 2 days a week, which has been so nice to get out, but I also hate leaving Blake. For Presidents day we went up to Hardware Ranch, they feed all the Elk in the winter. We got to ride on a wagon and ride all throuhout them. It was fun, and Blake kept saying MOOO to the elk. I love the bottom pic of us!

For my birthday this year I went to Las Vegas with my Mom and Sisters to see Lion King on Broadway. It was such a fun weekend. Staying up late just talking, shopping, good food, and the shows. It's nice not having to carry around diapers and binkies too. Eric was so good and watched Blake all weekend for me, (he even changed some poopey diapers.) My mom mentioned she wanted to see The Jersey Boys, we went last minute and got the cheap seats, then as we were walking to our seats we got upgraded to the 8th row. It was so entertaining, I went very skeptical but came out loving it. Lion King was amazing as well, I can't believe the props on that show. I can't wait untill we have another girls weekend.

It's Christmas time! We love it!! My mom got a new tree, so I used her old ornaments. Little did I think...they are glass and Blake loves to take them off the tree. Next year I am going to buy shatterproof ones. Blake has strep again! 4 times since July, and they won't take his tonsils out till he is 2. Christmas is less then a week away!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Wow, it has been a long time! I am such a slacker. We just went to California, but I have to post the rest of our summer first. We went with Eric's family to a Cabin by Jackson Hole. It was a lot of fun. We went on an amazing hike, even though Blake was grumpy the entire time (meaning I was the only one that he wanted to hold him) it was really pretty. They even had a heart shaped tub!

I heard Blake crying the other day....guess where I found him!

We Love the rain! Grandma bought Blake a cute Rain Coat, and now he can finally wear it. (Since it has been raining so much the last couple of weeks.) Isn't he a cutie. As soon as the camera comes out, so does his grin.

Is this normal? Blake always finds my purse and has to wear it around the house.

A couple of weeks ago we went to Lagoon for Eric's work party. Blake loved the Merry-Go-Round, and kept giggling and saying "neeiggghh" the entire time.

Camping

We took our first camping trip of the year. It was so nice to get away, without Eric working or his phone going crazy. Camping is not quite as easy and fun as it used to be, especially with a new walker. Blake does not like to be held anymore, and insists on walking everywhere. He is not that stable yet, so he falls a lot. You can see how dirty he is. We had several owies, but we survived. Thanks Steve and Ashley for letting us come with you, it was tons of fun.

It has been super busy for us lately. It is now Eric's busy time, so we don't see him very much. Blake sure misses his Daddy, (or he is just sick of being with me all the time.) Blake will go to the door and pound on it and say "DADDY DADDY." We are getting excited to start camping again, and a few summer vacations we have planned. If you let your baby play on the tramp, they will cry and scream when you try and take them off.

While going for Easter Eggs, they don't care about the ones throughout the yard, they want whats in their hands.

If you leave your baby upstairs, eventually they learn how to crawl down them.

Letting your baby feed themselves, causes a BIG mess to clean up.

I LOVED it! It was so good. I'm sure the traveling cast is not quite as good as the Broadway one, but they all did such a great job. It was exciting to go and spend some time with Eric. All he would say afterwords, when I asked him if he liked it was, "I like to see you happy." So I don't know if he liked it. I read the book a couple of years ago, and didn't like it, but the Musical was Awesome! If you ever get the chance to see it, do!

I am Super Crafty! I saw this wreath online and wanted to make it. It only took 30 minutes to make, and all the supplies were under $5. I am so proud I made something instead of buying it, and you have to admit it looks cute for 5 bucks. Just in time for Easter!

Las Vegas

My sister invited Blake and I to come and play with her in Vegas. It was so much fun to get away, and the weather was Awesome! We wore shorts and short sleve t-shirts, then we came back and it was snowing! Where is spring? We drove to St. George one day and saw our Grandma and Grandpa. We got to meet Blakes new cousin Levi, and Blake even gave him kisses (after he sat on his head) Thanks Nat for letting me come play! I hope we can do it again soon!

Presidents Day

I know Presidents Day was a LONG time ago, I had nothing else to post and it has been a while. Eric takes his dog out to run around about twice a week. Blake and I decided to follow along. Blake loved it, he talked and laughed the whole time. While we were out there we saw 2 Bald Eagles, a bunch of Pheasants, and a Sandhill Crane. It was pretty fun, even though it was way cold.

We decided to buzz Blake's hair, this has been done several times before, it was easy enough. This time Eric wanted it a little shorter to even out everywhere. So we decided on 1/2". After one swipe of the buzzers I panicked...too short. We usually do Eric's that size, but for Blake it just makes him look bald. Hopefully it will grow enough in three weeks for his B-day pics. Also he has been real crawling (using his knees) for a couple of weeks now. He can move fast! He is standing up on anything and everything, and walking across the furniture! Where did my baby go?

So Eric decided he wanted his hair done too. He started doing it himself, while I put Blake to bed. Bad mistake! (on my part, I shouldn't leave Eric that kind of responsibility.) Next thing I know, he has no hair. What the heck?? All of his hair is missing, and he looks quite silly. I asked him why he would even think of doing something like that, and he said "I just wanted to make sure you will still love me when I am bald." Yes Eric I still love you, even when you're bald! Everytime I looked at him I started cracking up, even looking at this picture makes me laugh! I bet his head is cold at work, hopefully he remember his beanie!

Climb the stairs in two seconds, then cry when I cant get back down.

Make mommy feel loved when I choose her over daddy.

Loving mommy and giving lots of kisses.

Torture the dog by pulling on her ears.

Standing up on anything and everything.

Getting many bumps and bruises from falls.

Sleeping through the night (happened two nights in a row, YAY!!)

Always having the cutest biggest smile.

Eric got a new dog! (Much to my disapproval.) It is his hunting dog, which will be outside as soon as it is warm enough. Right now he is in the garage with plenty of straw and blankets. Eric has been so excited for this little guy, he is a German Shorthair named Scout. Belle loves this new dog, and they have so much fun together.

It has been five years since Eric and I were married! Oh my, I can't believe it has gone by this fast. How exciting to get reach this year, a whole hand! How fun it's been and challenging at times, but I wouldn't change it for anything. Here's to another great 5 years!

Christmas

Christmas was so fun this year, considering last year I was in the hospital. Babies make everything so much more fun! Blake loved ripping the paper, and got confused when we would take away his new toy to open another one. Santa brought Belle a ball, I think Blake liked that the most, he kept crawling (he doesn't use his knees yet) to get to it. We were able to spend time with both families, and had a great time eating lots of yummy food. My mom spoiled us this year and got us a Wii, and we have been playing it ever since. Both Grandmas spoiled Blake, and he loved the things he got. Thanks for a great Christmas!

One year ago today...

Was the absolute worst day of my entire life. I went into the Dr. to get a cerclage, which put me in labor at 23 weeks. An ambulance then took me to the hospital, where they pushed many different kind of drugs in me to stop the labor. The drugs made me shake, puke, sweat, chills, and basically knocked me out. 4 days later I was Life Flighted (the most expensive ride I have ever taken) to the University of Utah where I layed in bed for 2 months straight. Eating, (well just looking) at the most nastiest food, and only able to get up to go to the bathroom. I had 4 different rooms, and only went to labor 2 other times, where they would push more drugs into me. Then I was finally sent home after 8 weeks, to continue bedrest for another 4.

So today I have been very scared that something bad was going to happen, since this day IS cursed. I have also had the chance to think at how blessed we are to have Blake, (even though I thought it wouldn't be worth it while sitting in the hospital) it has totally been worth it to have this sweet baby in my life. He has been such a great little boy and is always so smiley and happy. I am so grateful for all the help and support I had during those terrible 3 months, and for all the thoughts and prayers. It was such a hard time, but I'm glad I was able to strengthen my testimony and faith. Sorry for the long post, just thought I would share my feelings. (It could have been a lot longer, but I spared lots of details!)

I am a horrible blogger, it has been forever. Back in October we had family pictures taken. I think they turned out great! The girl who took them is awesome, and always is so fun and energized. She is the one that took Blake's baby pictures. You can check out her site here. We were lucky to be able to go to both my parents and Eric's parents house for Thanksgiving this year. Blake loved the food, especially the yams. He will take a bite, then growel until the next bite, it is so funny. It is so fun to see him grow up, but then I get sad that he is not my little baby anymore.

Who knew Fall could be so fun? Eric has been super busy with fixing the holes (yes, more then one) in our ceiling. The shingles are finished, and there are no more leaks....YAY!!!! Blake is so close to crawling, but for now can get anywhere by rolling. He looks more like his daddy every day. Here are a few pics from the last couple of weeks.

My baby boy is growing up! I can't believe he is already 6 months old! He is such an adorable baby and can make me smile any time he looks at me. He has had a lot of firsts lately...

Last week Blake and I rode to St. George with my mom and nieces. First rode trip, and he did awesome. Only threw a fit on the way home, about 1/2 hour before we got there. I thought he would do much worse, considering he had his shots that day. His cousin Mijah told him 'boy stories' and Brielle held his hand. He even went swimming his first time, and loved it.

Quite an eventful month! I have been wanting to get a backpack (that holds a baby) for Blake for a while. It was always $80, I really didn't want to spend that much. A couple days ago it was on sale for $35. So excited!! Blake really likes it too! Bye Bye Tercel, you have been such a good car for 7 years!! Eric got in a wreck, totaled the car. :( Now we spend lots more in gas for the Truck. I also saw two great movies, The Dark Knight and Mamma Mia. I recommend them to anyone. Blake also had his first 4 wheeler ride. It was only around the driveway, but he seemed to like it! This weekend we're off to Lagoon and Bear Lake!

Is this not the funniest picture ever? They are both in exactly the same positions, while sleeping (not on purpose.) So funny, right arms straight out, left arms tucked in. Hahaha, my boys just keep making me laugh! Eric is finally done working nights, YAY!!!!! Next week Eric is starting to work on the Provo Temple! Is that just the coolest or what? I think he is so lucky and that it will be such an awesome experience. Out of his company of like 140 people, only 2 have recomends, so they are the ones working on it. I hope he enjoys it!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERIC TODAY!!!!! We love you so much. This weekend he didn't work at all, Blake and I were both way excited to spend lots of time with him. It's hard having him work so much, but it's nice to be able to stay home with Blake and not take him to daycare. We Love you!!!

Blake got his first taste of Rice Cereal. I don't know if he liked it, he kept pulling funny faces.

So Eric decided to build Belle a dog house last year, he FINALLY got it finished. Do you like how big it is? (Both me and his dad told him it was way to big, but he didn't listen.) I never have seen the dog use it, which makes me complain about the money and time spent on it. So the other day when she got i n Eric had to take a picture to show me, he was pretty excited. (I think mostly because he proved me wrong.)

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!

To all the special Father's in my life.

Eric: What a great dad and husband. He works 15 hour days to provide for Blake and I, and doesn't even complain. He works extra hard so I can stay home with our son. Eric is always so thoughful and caring, if I'm having a bad day, he will do his best to make me smile. He always wants me to have what I want, and always insist I get the best. Everytime Eric comes home, Blake brightens up. For some reason I think Blake likes his daddy more, he smiles for him a lot more then for me! I love you Eric!!

DAD: The best dad in the world!! (No exagerations) My dad is the best advice giver. No matter what the problem, he always tries to help me figure it out. He likes to spend time with my family, and loves seeing and making Blake Smile. During the hard 2 month hospital stay, he spent countless hours sitting in the hospital with me, Thanks for the support. He has always been such a great example to me throughout my life. He dedication to his church and family is such a testimony builder. I love you Dad!!

KARL: What an amazing Father-in-law, I couldn't of asked for a better one. Karl is always wanting to spend time with family. He has always made me feel welcome in the family, and continues to make me comfortable. Karl is always offering his services, whether it's helping Eric with the RV pad, or always getting me a glass of water. He always has such interesting stories, and has the greatest testimony. I Love You Karl!

Hiking

Sunday Afternoon we decided to go on a hike. We went up to Waterfall Canyon in Ogden. (Also the place we went on one of our first dates.) Blake loved it, by of course sleeping the whole time. The mountain kicked my butt! I guess 3 months of bedrest doesn't help. Maybe after this summer I will be back to normal, hopefully even in my skinny jeans. Eric of course flew up the mountain like it was no problem, even though he has been working too much, and not getting very much sleep. Everything was so green, and there was so much water from the runoff.

First Camping Trip

We went on our first camping trip Memorial Weekend. It was so much fun, and Blake did really well (only one major breakdown.) Eric's brother and his family came up which I was glad for so I had something to do while the boys went fishing. After staying in a trailer, I don't know how anyone can do a tent. We had the best neighbors who were so friendly and tried to feed us every chance they got. We went on a couple of walks, and Eric fed Belle a hot marshmallow. It was so funny to watch her try and lick it off. Great way to relax, especially for Eric who has been working so hard lately.

I can't believe my baby is already two months old. That makes me so sad. It is starting to get fun, because he is starting to smile. He is really starting to look at you for long periods of time. I already miss the days when he was only 6 lbs. and not fussy at all. I love my baby!

The other day I was doing laundry. I was holding Blake and couldn't get whatever was in the Washer to the Dryer one handed. So I set him down in the basket of towels I had just taken out of the Dryer. Instantly he fell right to sleep. I thought it was so cute.

1. I am a perfectionist. Everything in my life has to be absolutley perfect. If something in my house is out of place, I have to fix it. Poor Eric, he probably gets in trouble a lot because of this. Everything has to be organized and clean, all the time. That's why we had to get a brand new camper, versus a used one. Who knows what has happened in the used ones. No wonder it took us a long time to find a house I liked.

2. I am so obsessed with Thursday night TV on NBC. All of the shows I love. My Favorite, of course, The Office. I have all 3 seasons, and have not missed one episode this season. Oh I wish I worked there, how fun would that be?? Earl, 30 Rock and ER I love as well. Eric knows never to plan anything on Thursday nights, just for my TV night.

3. I love Birth Control. Not only does it prevent pregnancy, but it makes me happy. I just got back on it about 3 weeks ago and I am loving it. I am no longer an emotional wreck. Eric said the other day, "I can tell you are taking your birth control again." How can anyone not like them. They are Great!!

4. I love spending time with my sisters and mom. I have never really been that close to them untill that last 5 or 6 years. I love them and they are all my best friends. They are so much fun and we always enjoy when we are with eachother. I also love all the advise they give me. I bet when I first brought Blake home, I called my sister 3 or 4 times a day questioning her about being a mother and breastfeeding.

5. I absolutly LOVE to travel. Anywhere anytime. I have always gone on great vacations with my family! Eric, not so much, but I am getting him to enjoy it (I hope.) I love seeing new places and new things. I especially like to go to places that are historic and to learn about them. I like every two years when My side of the family goes on a trip somewhere. It is always such and adventure.

6. I love the Food Network Channel, especially Rachael Ray. I am obsessed with it. Every morning at 10 I watch Rachael's talk show. I never missed one episode while I was on bedrest. I can watch people cooking all day, and I want to cook just like them. I have tried several things people have made on TV, and they actually turned out pretty good. It is so relaxing for me to make dinner or cookies or something.

Blake's Blessing

Yesterday was Blakes blessing. It was such a great day! We had all of our family there, (except my sister who is out of state, and Eric's brother that is on a mission.) Eric did a great job giving Blake his blessing, and I am so grateful that I have a worthy priesthood holder as a husband that I can rely on at all times. I also realized how great both of our families are, through all the love and support they have shown us the last 6 months. I love my family! Blakes blessing outfit was made by my mom, and the blanket by my sister-in-law Celia. They did such great jobs, and I am extremely thankfull for all the hard work and time they put into them. Thanks!!

Fun Week

Last week was a busy one. On Thursday I went to lunch with my good friend Shanae. It's been so long since we had seen eachother, it was great to get together.

After Lunch, I met some other friends at Chiles for dessert. Emily, Emily and Audrey. It was so much fun. We hardly see eachother because Emily and Audrey live in New York. I miss seeing them, eveytime we get together we always have such a good time.

On Friday I went and babysat my brothers two kids while he went to Granduation (CONGRATS!) His little son Mckay who is three absolutly loves Blake. He calls him his friend, and will come and talk to him while he touches his hair. One time I was giving Blake a bath and Mckay was watching, and he said to me "Don't drop my friend!" He is such a fun cousin. His little sister Kjersti is Blake's closest cousin on my side, they are 10 months apart. Look they are all wearing green!! What are the chances of that?
I also received the coolest thing in the mail. My sister
talked me into getting a Cricut Expressions machine. It is so fun, and I love using it!

I told Eric that I was not going camping with a new baby, unless in a camper. Stupid me thought he would just say ok and we could get one next spring like we had planned. Well Eric took what I said VERY litterally and went looking that same day. He eventually, with much enthusiasm talked me into getting it right away. I hope we use it enough.

Belle absolutly loves Blake. She lays on the ground wherever he is, and when I change his diaper, she lays her head on my leg and stares at him.

This is the first time Blake got together with his cousins Preston and Mylie. They are all so close in age, but they are such different sizes.
